Vision of the employees (company creed)
Each employee is the President.
We believe that the most powerful organization is a group of self-motivated personnel who are independent-minded. Such people put “-ism” ideas into practice, namely, they make decisions, execute them, involve others, and complete business tasks on their own. This attitude enables the company to keep coming up with new services and remain prosperous. We aim to become an organization that requires no supervision or rules, instead of the conventional pyramid-like structure.

Innovations are created when self-motivated staff have mutual respect for one another, cover each other’s weaknesses, develop their dreams, involve the people around them, compete with each other and collaborate together.

Our current prosperity rests on the hard work of the previous generation. If we become complacent with the status quo, we will simply fade away. With a deep gratitude for the past generation’s work as well as for the circumstances that allow us to challenge ourselves, we intend to create new businesses and industries for the next generation.
We aim to be a company that people instantly associate with a certain product or service. Such public recognition shows that the company has created a new industry that is essential to society, and that the company contributes to society.

Put morality ahead of interests
If morality is prioritized, one’s interests will be fulfilled later. Becoming a contributor will yield benefits spontaneously. Therefore, it is essential to consider the happiness of others first. One must give, give, and give even more. Always take the first step, whether inside or outside the company. Contribute to customers, society, and co-workers – that is the first step.
Creation of new value
The needs of society are constantly changing. Companies that cater to the needs of the people and propose new values become essential and will flourish continuously. We aim to be that kind of a company, which keeps creating something new to support social prosperity in the next generation.
Challenge (continuous innovation)
The ever-changing needs of society mean that we must constantly change our services as well as ourselves to survive and thrive. We aim to remain a challenger and keep innovating ourselves.
Optimism (positive thinking)
We must break through major walls and overcome obstacles in our attempt to create new value and keep innovating. We must think positively as to ‘how we can do it,’ instead of making a list of reasons why we cannot. In the face of adversity, keep devising alternative ideas and produce a result, knowing that we can only blame ourselves for the outcome. That is being optimistic, OPT-style.
Employee happiness is the key.
While the definition of happiness differs among individuals, OPT simply defines the happiness of its employees as being self-motivated. If they can be self-motivated workers professionally, economically, and mentally, they will be able to decide their future, independent of the social circumstances and the employer. OPT wishes to provide such an environment and continuously support all of its employees.

While it is important to follow the decisions made by the company and managers, we must consider what decisions we would make if we were the President, make our decisions, and execute them instead of talking about them! Instead of going it alone, we must involve the people around us and accomplish the mission at hand with tenacity, without running away. That is the basic code of conduct for us all.
